Campaign To Free A Journalist
Our  friends Michael Freund, Boker Tov, Boulder!, Michelle Malkin, Atlas,  Gabe Oppenheim, Jerry Gordon, and others have been championing the cause of a Bangladeshi newspaper publisher, editor, and writer who is being persecuted because he is actively promoting peaceful dialog between Muslims and Jews. Mr. Salah Uddin Shoaib Choudhury is being placed on trial and if found guilty could be sentenced to death. Mr. Choudhury's legal problems began when he tried to board a plane to go to Tel Aviv for a conference.

To assist this campaign to free an innocent man One Jerusalem will be hosting a briefing for bloggers next Tuesday. Our expert guest will be terrorism expert Yehudit Barsky. That briefing will be available as one of our Exclusive Newsmaker interviews. Meanwhile we encourage everyone to urge Secretary Rice to demand that the Bangladesh government set Mr. Choudhury free. Secretary Rice can be reached at 202-647-4000. Or go to the State Department web-site at www.state.gov and leave a comment.

After the Tuesday briefing we hope bloggers around the world will encourage their readers to demand Mr. Choudhury be released.

We must not allow Islamic Radicals take away anyone's right to free speech.

This week One Jerusalem recorded an excellent interview on Radical Islam and the West's response with Tony Blankley author of The West's Last Chance? Listen to it here.
