Thank you for broadcasting Caroline Glick's interviews online. What a privilege it is to hear a creative, independent, original thinker speaking from the heart and the head. Love for Israel and the Jewish people does mean love for humanity and the world, and especially for life. Caroline points out the latter assertion in her every word and even in the space between her every word. The notion that Israel needs its citizenry to become empowered individuals with a direct stake in the political sphere resonates with the needs in the United States as well. Whether it is voting for a party as in Israel or for representatives of a party who ultimately have an independent vote based on their own conscience as in the United States is a most seminal point Caroline has cited. Today I received a final paper from a student on Barack Obama. As an English professor, I want the essay to draw on the student's ability and vision to profile someone in an honest, forthright, human way. My student drew on Mr. Obama's past in such a way that truly limned a portraiture of incredible stature, a human being of fortitude, wisdom, and grassroots substance. And yet, my heart sank when I read between the lines because that picture is precisely what millions of Americans both see and want to see. And beyond that shimmering ideologue lies a great worry: the aura with whom he has surrounded himself by choice. Since I teach English, I did not allow my political perspective to interfere with the student's drawing of this figure of wisdom, practicality, and mercy as he attempted to present Mr. Obama. Notwithstanding, in my heart of hearts, I wanted to show my student how what appears on the surface may not actually be what is underneath. In Mr. Obama's case, if he were to be elected Has V'Halila, his regime could lead to a major world crisis due to his coterie of friends and advisors and their agenda: anti-Semitic, anti-Zionistic, and even Anti-American. It may sound almost blasphemous to many what I have just pronounced; nevertheless, the ideas of a Dr. Rev. Jeremiah Wright, though the relationship has been publicly renounced, still permeate Mr. Obama's memory for the decades-long relationship he had with his pastor and spiritual mentor. Mr. Obama's advisory list of anti-Israel sympathizers is rather long and usettling. On a more positive note, I agree with Carline that the one candidate who deserves attention as a proponent of Israel's defense and a thoughtful promoter of individualism is Binyamin Netanyahu. I hope that in the near future elections come about in Israel on the national level and Mr. Netanyahu is elected Prime Minister. He is definitely neither a savior nor a perfect man by any means, though his ability to think out of the box--to envision an Israel of stature, character, and probity made up of human personalities who represent the yearning of Jewish freedom as well as the will to realize this freedom in the maintenance, growth, development, and defense of the Jewish homeland--should be allowed to take center stage in contemporary Israeli affairs. Finally, I want to commend Caroline for her sagacious portrayal of Israel's place among nations. In the Jewish community worldwide throughout Jewish history, the hope and Divine intention has always been that Israel should be a light among nations. That the latter precept has had its bearing on human civilization and culture is without a doubt the case. That this hope can motivate, bring solace, and provide moral together with spiritual sustenance to an individual as it evidently has in Caroline's case should be a guiding light for those of us who deeply love and care about Israel now and in the future.

i think caroline is missing something here, the bible says Israel will stand alone so it doesn't matter who gets in the bible says it that settles it. she should be worried about getting ohmert out and ben in.

Thank you, Professor Yoel Nitzarim, for your thoughtful comments, which I endorse wholeheartedly.

Caroline Glick is 100% rigtht. Obama is the gmost dangerous anti -Israeli and anti.´-Jewish politician US ever had. I really hope that no Jewss will vote for him. Our best fríend is Mr. McCain and Mr. Lieberman.

Thought from a Christian admirer,

I certainly agree with Prof. Yoel Nitsarim's comments and mostly wish to add my thought that Caroline seems most unsure when answering the question from Ann about where she gets her strength. I am a great admirer of Caroline's knowledge and wisdom and never fail to read her column. I wish she might become stronger in her belief ("blessed") that her strength comes from the God who is really there. May God continue to bless her to continue sharing her knowledge, wisdom and insight with her readers.

Some in the government, like Barack Obama, are seeking to limit the American peoples’ access to on-demand, short term financial assistance. Some cities and towns are trying to impose restrictions on where these legitimate businesses can set up shop. Even worse, several states, including Georgia and North Carolina, have successfully imposed all-out bans on the industry, with several more attempting to follow suit. Citizens all across the nation are seeking to have their voices heard by fighting legislation that would obliterate the payday loan industry nationwide; misinformed political officials are pushing for a complete ban in the name of personal political gain, regardless of the hundreds of thousands of potential lost jobs in an already turbulent economy.
