Ehud Olmert should not be talking to the paratroopers or any other military personnel at this time. As a lame duck prime minister, he should be cleaning out his possessions at the prime minister's residence so that his successor will be able to start working on the first day of the new term of office. It is due to Olmert's unconscionable military policies that Israel did not wipe up the floor with Hizbullah in the Second Lebanon War two summers ago. That he should say every a syllable to the soldiers today makes absolutely no sense.

When does anybody think the people of Israel will realize that Olmert and Co, that includes Livni et al, have already agreed to give away part of Jersusalem. This is old news. It is a timing issue only. These leaders are "international citizens" they have no internalised obligation to anything Israeli or Jewish. Bibi will use the " I will protect Israel" platform to win the next elections. But you can bet your life, he too, will agree to give away part of Jerusalem. For Abbas and his masters, it is a strategic imperative to gain this part of Israel. The noose is closing around Israel.
