UK Government Rattled by Robin Shepherd
Robin Shepherd is a British academic who leads with his principles. In the hostile British anti-Israel and anti-United States environment Mr. Shepherd has suffered professionally for his staunch defense of the State of Israel. But this has not deterred Mr. Shepherd from speaking out.
In fact, today Shepherd's blog drew blood. Shepherd strongly criticized the decision of the British Government to embargo planned armed shipments to Israel. This decision sets a very disturbing precedent. It is clear that the government capitulated to pressure from members of Parliament and anti-Israel forces with influence on the government.
But Shepherd's blog post hit a nerve. The British Government left a less than credible comment. It professes that the Government has been wrongly accused but does not deny the facts stated.
One Jerusalem applauds Shepherd's willingness to stand up for Israel and justice. We also want to

IT BECOMES INCREASINGLY EVIDENT THAT 0BAMA IS PRO MUSLIM, PRO PALESTINIAN AND TOLERANT OF HAMAS AND IRAN . I HOPE THIS REALISATION WILL STIFFEN THE WILL OF THE ISRAELI PEOPLE AND UNITE THEM INTHE DEFENCE OF THEIR COUNTRY. ISRAEL HAS VIRTUALLY NO POLITICAL ALLIES AND IRAN AND HAMAS AND HEZBOLLAH MEAN IT WHEN THEY SAY'' WIPE ISRAEL OFF THE MAP.''
HOWEVER THERE ARE MANY THOUSANDS OF FRIENDS OF ISRAEL AROUND THE WORLD WHO NEED LEADERSHIP TO UNITE AND RAISE THEIR VOICE IN THE DEFENCE OF ISRAEL.
I fully support Robin Shepherd's efforts to publicize this distressing decision by the British government. In addition, I respect him for speaking out and holding his ground.
