ALERT: UPDATE
One Jerusalem recently reported that the Obama Administration was seriously considering using the opening of the United Nations General Assembly in September to box Israel into a corner in the presence of officials representing the nations of the world.
Yesterday, the Left-wing, anti-Israel British paper
The Guardian confirmed that President Obama had "pencilled in" using the United Nations gathering to announce his Middle East Peace initiative.
Obama has pencilled in the announcement of his breakthrough for either a meeting of world leaders at the UN general assembly in New York in the week beginning 23 September or the G20 summit in Pittsburgh on 24-25 September. (Guardian)
One Jerusalem feels that getting this story out is one way of trying to derail an ambush of Israel. We are pleased that thousands of Israel supporters around the world have responded by posting the alert on web-sites, blogging about it, sending e-mails to family and friends. Your efforts have captured the attention of Jewish leaders, officials in Israel and the United States, and ordinary citizens who care for Israel's future. Our web-site has been very busy with visitors looking to be helpful.
Since our alert went out there have been more developments. The most important being that Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu refused to compromise Israel's sovereignty and security by agreeing to Obama's demands for a two year freeze on building in settlements and East Jerusalem. Netanyahu's position reflects the view of most Israelis. A poll released today showed that 2/3 of all Israelis oppose a settlement freeze.
Prime Minster Netanyahu has earned credit for standing up to American pressure. You can help our cause by letting him know you appreciate his principled stance.Contact information for Prime Minister Netanyahu

Jerusalem must never be relinquished. It must be the undivided capital of the Jewish people. If you lose Jerusalem, you will lose your identity. Not only that, you will lose everything. Any leader who fights for Jerusalem and stands up to anyone must be supported. He must be praised. He must be encouraged. Because what he is doing is RIGHT. He is a man of principle who cannot allow the unprincipled leaders of the nations to dictate and control him. He has a vision which the leaders of the nations cannot match.
Today, I am happy to hear that your prime minister is not willing to give up on Jerusalem. He is being pressured at all fronts. He is pressured politically, economically, militarily, internal security, what else. Great leaders experience challenges. It is up to him how to respond to these challenges that counts. The road he is traveling is narrow but this is the right one. This is the road that leads to life. He is now in the process of reversing policies of previous administrators.
You made an error in allowing Palestinians to occupy your land. Even the Arabs. This should not have happened. But you have a working democracy. You love people. You love culture. You respect everybody. However, it is time to correct the error you made before. I am for a one state solution for the State of Israel. Let the Palestinians become Israeli citizens. Let them enjoy the full benefits being a citizen of the State of Israel.
Lastly, do not agree to the two state solution. Whoever is the proponent, silence him.
