Costco is Target of Boycott For Selling Israeli Products
For years, we have reported on and urged action against academic boycotts of Israel in the United Kingdom. Now we are troubled to report that the latest assault on Israel has jumped across the Atlantic and has targeted the American store Costco.

According to these anti-Semites, Costco is guilty of selling Israeli grown clementines. The boycott has a home on the Web and it has volunteers recruiting and instructing people on what they can do to encourage Costco to stop the sale of Israeli goods. Below is the body of a mass circulating e-mail which offers advise on who to contact at Costco:

Friends,

Such a simple action! I called 425-313-8100 and spoke with Mark DeCosta in produce. I told him that I was calling because I saw that Costco was selling clementines from Israel. I explained very politely that there is an international boycott against Israeli products because of the ongoing genocide there. I mentioned the attack on Gaza a year ago, that 1,400 people were killed there, and that Israel restricts food, electricity and drinking water. Mark was very receptive, and said he would pass the message o the buyer in California, and also gave me her number. I'll call her tomorrow and would be happy to hear that other folks might do the same.

Buyer: Pat Burlinguette
925-456-7208

Do not underestimate the consequences if a boycott like this has any success. If friends of Israel do not let Costco know that they support the sale of Israel it would not be a surprise if the company decides to forgo selling Israeli products.

We need to contact Costco and let them know that we will shop there because they sell Israeli products. When I told my wife about the boycott, she immediately responded that she was getting a Costco membership and she will buy the clementines "Even though I don't like clementines. "

Information about contacting Costco can be found here.

This boycott is part of an international cultural and academic boycott of Israel.

We must do all that we can to help Israel fight back.

I am a member of Costco and will be delighted to let them know I will continue supporting them as long as they continue to sale products from Israel. Also, when I visit the store, I will speak with them and purchase the clementines to share with friends, neighbors and family at my church. My church supports Israel by carrying Israeli products in our bookstore and we have a Tzedakah Box in our lobby as well as other organizations like Christians United for Israel.

I do not boycott Israeli products, but prefer to support their products, and Nation. I wonder, off hand, what does Pat Burlinguette purchase, Rockets for the 'poor' people in Gaza??

If we (the 'other' people of the world) have a right to retaliate when someone is trying to kill us, or our families, Israel has, at a minimum, the same God-given right.

May God protect Israel from further suffering.

Here is my letter, which I just mailed to Costoc:

To whom it may concern in Corporate:

I am a customer at Costco who is quite concerned about the campaign to boycott Israeli products from your stores. Apparently one of your employees, Mark DeCosta (425-313-8100) in produce, gave ear to one of these boycotters, who stated that products, such as the clementines you sell from Israel, should be taken off of your shelves. The reason this boycotter provided to justify such action is the so-called "Gaza genocide" that supposedly took place a year ago. This sadly misinformed individual was trumpeting Islamic propaganda that continues to circulate unabated regarding Operation Cast Lead: a military operation that the Israeli Defense Forces launched in defense of the Israeli communities nearby Gaza that were under constant bombardment of HAMAS rockets. I have been to those Gaza-belt communities and have seen the stockpiles of spent rockets that have been aimed at Jewish citizens living there. I have walked through the bomb shelters and smelled the strong stench of urine left behind by the frightened Jewish school children who have just seconds to run for shelter during the red alerts. The Jewish children and their families live in terror each day -- Islamic terror, which is becoming so common place throughout our global community.

Not only should Costco sell Israeli clementines, it should purchase kosher wines from the northern Jewish communities that maintain their vineyards while under the constant threat of Hizb'Allah Islamists along Israel's northern border with Lebanon. In fact, Costco should work with the Shomron Regional Council to purchase numerous products produced throughout the areas within the so-called "Green Line" in an effort to support the Jews throughout the so-called "west bank" communities of Judea and Samaria.

The Jewish homesteaders who live over the so-called "Green Line" are NOT the main obstacle to historic peace between Israel and her "palestinian" neighbors, as purported. The "palestinians" are, in fact, Sunni Muslim squatters from the surrounding Arab and Muslim lands who are being used by the Arab-Muslim bloc to fight an Islamic war by proxy on the strategic high-tops of Judea and Samaria. By generating ample heart-wrenching stories of "palestinian" oppression and victimization, the Islamic propaganda machine attracts more "freedom fighters" to further the Islamic revolutionary movement while peddling the Israeli "occupation" lie to the international community to divert the spot-light from the fact that millions of Arabs and Muslims, who control 7,673,024 square miles of territory in the Greater Middle East, want to obliterate the Jewish State, which controls only 8,463 square miles of territory within this same region. This made-for-television fabrication bewitchingly tugs at the humanistic heartstrings of our global village's unsuspecting masses; generates attention-grabbing international headlines, and pressures our world leaders into promoting a de facto "palestine" in an effort to appease "Muslim sensitivities," which are conveniently tied to threats of extinguishing world peace. The unrelenting physical attacks and disinformation campaigns against the Jewish State are thus a mainstay for revolutionary Islam's global push for world domination.

The Islamic scheme of world domination involves numerous terrorist groups, such as the Iranian proxy group Hizb'Allah, and Asbat al-Ansar, a primarily “palestinian” group linked to Al-Qaeda, both situated at Israel's northern tip; the de facto “palestinian” HAMAS governance, its concentration of pro-Al Qaeda global jihadist groups, and the break-a-way pLO factions operating in Gaza at Israel's southern tip; the “palestine” Islamic Jihad and Popular Front for the Liberation of “palestine” from Israel's east bank, and the whitewashed pLO/Al-Fatah/Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigade groups that evolved into the “palestinian” Authority, which currently operates under the Fatah-chief-turned-“palestinian president” Mahmoud Abbas within the so-called “west bank" of Israel's historical and Biblical heartland. All of these Islamist groups are fighting for control over Judea and Samaria within the Fertile Crescent Region, and in the process, they seek to make the area judenrein.

What does this all mean to you?

A Judea and Samaria without a Jewish presence would mean the absence of a democratic check to keep the Islamists from tying together the Asian and African continents to form a vast Islamic caliphate that will cause the entire Greater Middle East to fall under Shari'ah law. What is more, this development would enable these Islamist groups, and their state sponsors Iran and Syria, to further penetrate deep into Asia and Africa to further spread the revolution. The entire dynamic would radically alter the balance of power on the world stage, elevate the threat of nuclear Islamist-backed terror, and create the climate for worldwide insurrections generated by the Muslim Ummah, which is poised within every host country throughout what remains of our free world.

Sell the clementines. Purchase the kosher wine. Look into the many other excellent products that the Jews are producing to make our global village a more pleasant place to live. Some over-the-"Green Line" products that would sell well in Costco include, but are certainly not limited to, Ahavah natural cosmetics from Mitzpeh Shalem, Beigel & Beigel pretzels from Barkan, Beitili furniture from Barkan, Har-Shefi boxes from Beit El, and Keter plastic furniture from Barkan.

While you are at it, you can get a real education on the Middle East by visiting my web-site at www.buildersofzion.org. I am an independent journalist who has studied revolutionary movements and political violence as a political scientist. I am also an ordained minister who refuses to sanitize Islam, and who speaks openly about the religious warfare that Islamists are waging against the civilized world. The mainstream media is not tackling this proliferating matter, which threatens the whole of humanity, as their collective objectivity has been largely bought up by petro-dollars, which fuel 75% of the typical news budgets.

For my part, I will, indeed, look for the Israeli products on your shelves, and my continued membership at Costco will be tied to your unabashed procurement of such items in support of the Jewish State.

With kindest regards,

Sandra Warmoth

To whom it may concern:

My wife and I were attracted to Costco because they carry Israeli products.

If the misguided comments from one of your customers stops Costco from carrying their clementines who will be next.

The anti-Israel canard being disseminated will not get a free pass. I believe the commenter would be better served if he/she did more research before making the above comments.

If you are old enough to remember how Israel was established you would realize that Israel is one of the few legitimate countries in the world approved by the League of Nations.

Unfortunately Israeli's live in a very dangerous neighborhood surrounded by 100,000,000 sworn enemies.

Imagine the state of New Jersey lobbing dozens of missiles daily into your neighborhood for about 8-10 years. How would you react? Gaza is a terrorist entity ruled by fear and the same kind of oppressive government we've seen in Iran. Pat could not opine if he/she lived under the Hamas regime. Yet, the above comments by Pat are reminders of the Jewish scape-goat approach instead of the geo-political realities.

Based on Pats line of thinking we should probably stop carrying Chinese products because they run their protesters over with tanks, beat them with clubs and throw them into prison. They also supply terrorist regimes with advanced military equipment which will ultimately be used against us.

But, we prefer to overlook these facts because we like cheaply made products made in sweat shops by under/aged children who are grossly underpaid. Would Pat like to comment on China as well? Or, just little Israel.

If you refuse to carry Israeli products than our way of life is truly in trouble.

Ordinary citizen

Sincerely Yours,

Irv Hendel

I am a COSTCO member and I will continue to support them and urge resistance to this anti-Semitic, pro-Terrorist boycott of Israeli products.

I have read the aforementioned boycott of Costco, and am appaled, that even now, there are some "so called" smart people who are allowing Islamic and anti-Israel factions to use them. I applaud Costco for there selling of Israeli products, but would encourage them to sell more. And to those "smart" people, ask yourself this, how long will it be before they come after you?

If we would just learn to boycott an Arab product like say OIL. buy less demand more production at home. Pull out of their countries and stop giving them any aid.Why can we just not say no. Then pack up and go. I wonder sometimes what would happen if America said enough and just came home and shut the doors. No one likes us they are proud of our left leaning Senate and House and President trying to push us into a socialist state. They proudly support lies and lies and lies. What happened to the resolve of never again that was heard around the world once? Arab OIL> and men said so what....................

I just bought a membership to Costco only because I heard they sell Israeli products. I try to buy products from Israel all the time. I hope the staff at Costco are intelligent enough to see through this Islamist terrorist propaganda. I also wish they would sell Israeli wine. I live quite a distance from the store but will shop there all the time for this reason.

I wish this idiocy would stop. These so-called "palestinians" do not belong on Jewish land. They shoud be re-integrated into their own arab lands where they first came from and leave Israel alone. If I were PM, I would throw them all out of Israel.

I'm thinking of going there myself to live out the rest of my life - that's how much I love Israel and that's how much I'm starting to hate living here in Montreal - too many of them here...can't stand it much more, especially when they kept PM Netanyahu from speaking at a lecture here at Concordia University. Since that happened, this is no longer my city.

I have been a member of Costco since June 2000 and was appalled to learn that there is a boycott of Israeli products at Coscto, I hope Costco will continue selling Israeli products, including clementines, because we must stand up to the anti-Semites of the world who pretend they are against the State of Israel, but are actually against Jews. They would like nothing more than that the State of Israel and all Jews did not exist. This boycott is simply part of their agenda to strangle Israeli trade and thus the Jewish people. I still have my comforter set, which is very high quality, and made in Israel. I will continue shopping at Costco and looking for Israeli produce and products. Thank you.

Is the world just plain stupid?
An interesting questionnaire for Palestinian Advocates
By Yashiko Sagamori

If you are so sure that " Palestine , the country, goes back through most of recorded history," I expect you to be able to answer a few basic questions about that country of Palestine :

1. When was it founded and by whom?

2. What were its borders?

3. What was its capital?

4. What were its major cities?

5. What constituted the basis of its economy?

6. What was its form of government?

7. Can you name at least one Palestinian leader before Arafat?

8.. Was Palestine ever recognized by a country whose existence, at that time or now, leaves no room for interpretation?

9. What was the language of the country of Palestine ?

10. What was the prevalent religion of the country of Palestine ?

11. What was the name of its currency? Choose any date in history and tell what was the approximate exchange rate of the Palestinian monetary unit against the US dollar, German mark, GB pound, Japanese yen, or Chinese Yuan on that date.

12. And, finally, since there is no such country today, what caused its demise and when did it occur?

You are lamenting the "low sinking" of a "once proud" nation.. Please tell me, when exactly was that "nation" proud and what was it so proud of?

And here is the least sarcastic question of all: If the people you mistakenly call "Palestinians" are anything but generic Arabs collected from all over -- or thrown out of -- the Arab world, if they really have a genuine ethnic identity that gives them right for self-determination, why did they never try to become independent until Arabs suffered their devastating defeat in the Six Day War?

I hope you avoid the temptation to trace the modern day "Palestinians" to the Biblical Philistines: substituting etymology for history won't work here.

The truth should be obvious to everyone who wants to know it. Arab countries have never abandoned the dream of destroying Israel ; they still cherish it today. Having time and again failed to achieve their evil goal with military means, they decided to fight Israel by proxy. For that purpose, they created a terrorist organization, cynically called it "the Palestinian people" and installed it in Gaza , Judea, and Samaria . How else can you explain the refusal by Jordan and Egypt to unconditionally accept back the "West Bank" and Gaza , respectively?

The fact is, Arabs populating Gaza, Judea, and Samaria have much less claim to nationhood than that Indian tribe that successfully emerged in Connecticut with the purpose of starting a tax-exempt casino: at least that tribe had a constructive goal that motivated them. The so-called "Palestinians" have only one motivation: the destruction of Israel , and in my book that is not sufficient to consider them a nation" -- or anything else except what they really are: a terrorist organization that will one day be dismantled.

In fact, there is only one way to achieve peace in the Middle East . Arab countries must acknowledge and accept their defeat in their war against Israel and, as the losing side should, pay Israel reparations for the more than 50 years of devastation they have visited on it. The most appropriate form of such reparations would be the removal of their terrorist organization from the land of Israel and accepting Israel's ancient sovereignty over Gaza , Judea, and Samaria . That will mark the end of the Palestinian people. What are you saying again was its beginning?

Thanks for the "heads up" I will also boycott this establishment (along with the others) also and will spread the word as best I could.

I coincedentally just became a Costco member. I am thrilled to hear they sell Israeli products and will most definitely look for them in the store. I urge all of you to buy Israeli products as we must show Israel, the only democratic nation in the Mideast, that we support them!

By 90% of these blogs here, Costco is suppoterd by extreme right wing hate filled israerli sacks of dog shit, and if coscto makes it money from supporting these fucktards then i will never shop there
