At least the school's campus police were removing them quickly.

UCI Chancellor Michael Drake was, as expected, low-key about the obviously carefully planned ongoing disruptions, saying only that he found them "an embarrassment". Mark Petracca, Chair of the school's Poli-Sci Department, repeatedly admonished the hecklers, but what sort of disciplinary action against these UC students will be taken?

How many of those "arrested" were later suspended or expelled by the school for intentionally violating its well-defined code of conduct? Since federal stipends for these foreign students represent a significant source of income to cash-hungry California schools like Irvine, my guess is zero.

This kind of orchestrated hate-fest and verbal attacks by Muslim student groups has become the norm at many of our colleges and universities. It's past time for our tax-supported institutions of "higher education" to learn that Freedom of Speech, means freedom of speech -- NOT freedom to drown out the speech of others.

The students who heckled and spoke harshly should receive citations in their permanent college records for untoward behavior. As an Israeli-American Jewish professor, I have had more than my share of anti-Semitic diatribes and evaluations against me and my work in this country. Student evaluations are anonymous; therefore, they are given ample opportunity to express their sentiments about the instructor, the course material, and the texts. However, when the Israeli Ambassador to the United States addresses a student group, the students should be respectful to whatever he has to say. It so happens that this particular ambassador is a former American and a man of great distinction both for his erudition and his comportment. Even if students have strong differences of opinion with this man, he should be afforded his say without any interference whatsoever. This is the United States, not Iran, Syria, North Korea, or the Gaza Strip. Here people have the right to speak in peace when they are invited to do so.
Dr. Oren was wronged by these students who interfered with his presentation. I hope that these students will be properly reprimanded for their uncivil actions.

Ah, yes, freedom of speech. I wonder why it is so many insist on free speech only as long as they are the ones speaking? When the children demand their own way, I wonder what their children will do. I watched the same thing among children of Nazis. They ended up destroying their own nation. Is that coming to a theater near you?

I think fair is fair: the protesters should be accorded the same treatment they would receive if they disrupted a political event in their home countries.

These Muslims are all for freedom of speech when they come to America (or Canada or the UK or France, etc.) when it suits them. When it doesn't, they will have none of it. Their hypocrisy is palpable.

But, they don't care. It isn't about freedom of anything. It is about pure, unadulterated hatred against anything Jewish and Israeli (in this case), or everything non-Islamic, in general. "First the Saturday people..."

Of course, what is truly Islamic isn't decided, either. That's why so many of them are busy blowing themselves up (and everyone near them: men, women, and children) in each other's mosques in their home countries.

Now, to have them condemn that kind of barbarism - well, you'd be hard pressed to get them to do that! That would be asking too much, now, wouldn't it?

Underlying all of this is something incredibly evil. It's demonic, such irrational hatred. To my non-believing friends, I say, look at these types and their leftist Western stooges for proof of evil incarnate. Satan is alive and well, sadly.

Obama went down on bended position before his sponsor: the Saudi Arabia leader. There, you can't even say you are a Christian or handle your Bible in public without getting in a real trouble. Can a Jew stand in public reading the Torah in Saudi Arabia? Imagine this.

Inside the US you can handle your Koran and speak out loud against Christians and Jews. The "fellows" americans will be quiet as dead ones. The video showed so. It's not a matter of Freedom of Speech indeed.

I am a Christian but, regardless of my beliefs, there is a time and a place to voice your opinion and beliefs. This was not the time or the place to stand up and disrupt a guest speaker. Over and over again. To do so not only shows a lack of respect, but an abundance of ignorance.
As I watched this video, I came up with a question. How do you tell the difference between a radical Muslim and a conservative Muslim? Are the radicals the ones that stood up and screemed and the conservatives the ones that applaued them?
I am an American. This is my country. I am sick of my government bending over backwards to be politically correct to the people that call us the "great satin" and who have no choice but to convert us our destroy us according to their beliefs. Do some research. WAKE UP!!

What I find more disturbing more than these morons who shouted down the ambassador, would be the ones who cheered them on. The student body and the administration were well away of these radicals called the "Irvine 11", as to imply they are some type of a protesting group for political awareness - while we, Americans flip the bill for a circle of "students" that have more on their agenda than free speech.
Were these students appalled when the U.S. was attacked, or suicide bombers attacked a busy Israeli street killing numerous civilians?
I assure you that in years to come members of the "Irvine 11" names will pop up in more radical Islamist arenas - more of not only anti-Israel, but anti-American. This country better wake up from its slumber, and stop thinking that it’s cool to support these animals, as well as vote for politicians based on bumper stickers, t-shirts, and rousing meaningless speeches!
