Our friends at Powerline, have highlighted the failure of the Obama administration to recognize or take action against the al-Qaeda/ Iranian connection. New reports confirm old reports that the Shia regime in Iran have been and continue to provide shelter to Al-Qaeda.

Powerline observes, "Remember when "sophisticated" liberals assured us that it was unthinkable for Sunni and Shia Muslims to cooperate in anti-American terrorism? In fact, Iran's Shia mullahs have been supporting Sunni terrorist groups for decades; al Qaeda is only one of several. That liberal theory has now gone down the memory hole."

The article goes on to quote General Petraeus confirming this working relationship between al Qaeda and Iran.

Why hasn't the Obama administration called out Iran on this relationship? Remember, the Obama administration loudly criticized the Bush administration for failing to pursue al-Qaeda and now they are guilty of the same shortcoming.

Obama's kid gloves approach to Iran is allowing Iran to develop nuclear weapons and to hide and support anti-American terrorists.

As Powerline writes, "They [Obama] were too preoccupied with the frightening prospect that Jews might build houses in Jerusalem."
