The Wall Street Journal reports that Mayor Bloomberg defended the Ground Zero location of the proposed mosque. The Mayor did this at a dinner he hosted for  Muslims, including the owner of the site and the wife of the Imam. The Mayor continues to completely ignore the antisemitic associations of Imam Rauf, his anti-American diatribes, and the overwhelming opposition to this plan.

A protester outside Gracie Mansion said,  "If the Muslim community in New York was really respectful, they would not push this mosque down at Ground Zero. And if they're not respectful...we shouldn't just sort of suck it up and say, 'Come on over and have dinner with us.' "
