Senator Brownback Introduces United Jerusalem Bill
Posted by The Editors on April 22, 2005 at 2:03 AM
United States Senate S.J. Res 14, reads like the One Jerusalem petition.
Section 2 Findings: recites such facts as
-- Jerusalem has been the capital of the Jewish people for 3,000 years
-- Jerusalem has never been the capital of any other state other than the Jewish people
-- Jerusalem is not mentioned by name in the Koran
-- Israel is the only country in which the United States neither maintains an embassy in the city designated as the capital by the host country nor recognizes such city as its capital
-- Israel supports religious freedom for all faiths
And Section 4 states: The United States shall not recognize a Palestinian State until the international community resolves the status of Jerusalem by recognizing the city as the undivided capital of Israel.
Take a moment and send a note thanking Senator Brownback and his co-sponsor Senator Crapo for standing up for Jerusalem. And urging Senate Majority leader Bill Frist to back this legislation.
Thank You, Senator Brownback for your boldness and courage to stand for righteousness and justice. Thank you, too, Senator Crapo for your strong stand for Israel and the Jewish people. The God of Israel will abundantly bless both you and Senator Brownback. The prayers of thousands of Christian Zionists are with you both. We, too, will allow our voices to be heard on this extremely important issue. Shalom & Blessings!

A true peace must be based on reality, which includes facts such as Jerusalem never having been the capital of any other state other than that of the Jewish people. Denying the facts of the Section 2 findings by the international community delays resolution of the conflict which ultimately is bad for all. Success of the United Jerusalem Bill will be a powerful move towards resolution.
