Heritage Foundation Argues Against Imposing A Cease Fire
[07.20.2006]
In a Heritage Foundation Web Memo, Dr. Ariel Cohen makes a strong case against forcing Israel to agree to a cease fire with a terrorist organization. Cohen's analysis should be required reading for the State Department bigwigs who appear poised to force the sides to stop the fighting. Today, reports began circulating that Condi Rice was preparing to go to Israel next week. And last night on the Charlie Rose show Undersecretary of State Nick Burns kept emphasizing that America has many friends in the region, not just Israel. (It seems that he feels the Saudis who keep funding terrorism against the United States and spreading radical Islam throughout the world are our "friends.")
America's Ambassador to the United Nations, John Bolton has also made the point that it is ridiculous to sign a cease-fire deal with a terrorist organization. He is right. If this should materialize it will elevate Hezbollah to the level of a nation-state:In other words a huge propaganda victory.
Even if the United States should want this outcome Israel must resist.
The UN reconized Israel in 1948 as a legit nation, and so did the United States, now they want to back the Hezzbola, what a change of face, But, what can you expect when the liberal socialist run the UN. nations who have always hated the Jews, why is it that hate crimes do not apply to the UN.

If terrorists attack us, we want to go after them, disarm them, strike them at their core so they can't rise up against us any more. We move to completely remove their threat from us. Israel deserves the same right. The Hezbollah terrorists set themselves up in residential neighborhoods of southern Lebanon and shoot rockets and missiles from those areas at Israel, and then they cry foul. Iran and Syria funnel money and arms to Hezbollah. Hezbollah is not a government; it is a terrorist organization. They have made no secret of their desired purpose.

the usa cant attack iraq and expect israel to stand by while terrorists kidnapp its citizens and launch missles. Israel must respectfully decline help or interference and systematically bomb the heck out of southern lebanon. They should also start lobing missles at Iran.

Like every human being I would like to see that peace rules our planet and every one has the right to be himself and his believe respected.. But this not reality of today, sometime extremist groups tend to take over the mind of people, this leads irrational actions and wrong reasoning. How society should react by going alone and let them continuing with their violent acts creating a pandemic attitude or should society tray to stop them. Then we must support any effort made to stop extremisms.

THE USA NEEDS TO STAY OUT OF THIS. I LEARNED WHEN A SMALL BOY NOT TO TRY TO BREAK UP A FIGHT BETWEEN TWO DOGS BECAUSE THEY BOTH WOULD BITE YOU.
WE TRIED THIS CEASE FIRE STUFF IN VIET NAM. ALL IT DID WAS LET THE ENEMY REGROUP AND ATTACK US AGAIN.
