Joel Rosenberg believes that this is the first step to Bibi returning as Prime Minister. His post appears to give a far more upbeat spin to Bibi's prospects than the facts support. Even in his analysis Likud under the best case scenario Likud might get 26 seats in the next election. That means Likud would be 35 seats short of forming a government. Where would the needed seats come from?
Bibi's opponent got nearly a quarter of the primay votes. He has earned a seat at the table. Bibi will probably not be able to ignore him.
And other Olmert opponents continue to be suspicious of Bibi. Unless he wins back their trust he will not be politically successful. See here.
bibi is afraid to stand for land. he will play in the way he did before (wye). Maybe after a few more years more jews will understand the true way: now reprezented by FEIGLIN and will decide that ALL LAND west of Jordan is Jewish and even some from the est.

1. ANYBODY but Olmert (or Peres... or Livni).
2. I was glad to see Feiglin get as much of the vote as he did.
3. Bibi is the best possible.
4. Bogie Yaalon would be even better.
5. Rudy for President.

Toni LeFevers: I'm afraid to burst your bubble, but Bibi does not have a 'no-nonsense keep-the-land-policy.' Like many others, if there were someone on the other side to talk to, he, too, would give land away. Check out the Wye Agreement. But he is the only one we have at the moment. I prefer Uzi Landau!

I dont have trust on bibi the opportunist and allways I hated bibi since he kiss arafat and gave him 13.50% of judea samaria and our hebron chelanou to fatah ..
i dont understand why when likud wins elections after bibi-sharon-olmert- etc..they did a another policys more in favor of palestinians ..!!instead to broke down leftist oslo agreements ..!!
look in france sarkozy's president has wins in taking a tournure rightist policy for frenchies people vote for him ; then I dont understand why likud in israel dont took this tournure rightist nationalist policys toward palestinians in saying to them palestine is ours not yours then your place is not here but in jordania where 75 pc citizens are palestinians ..
i hope my letter will be publicated because I dont trust on bibi on his wrong and weak policy

I think that whether Netanyahu becomes a prime-minister or not, the same defeatist policy will continue. He is a toothless lion: he can roar loudly (speak well), but everyone sees that he has no teeth (no courage).

let's all pray to God that Bibi gets the PM's chair. we need him tremendously...GO BIBI !!!

What's taking him so long? Israel and the world needs this bright, articulate, hard-nosed PM back in office ASAP!

I think Joel Rosenberg's finger has been so consistently on the jugular pulse of events in the Middle East that his current analysis of Netanyahu's political prospects must be taken very seriously. I also happen to agree with him that Netanyahu is on his way to being the next Prime Minister.

I do not know anything about Israeli politics but "Bibi" is the last hope for Israel's survival. The track of the current government is leading to national suicide. A catastrophe is in the offing if Israel does not change course.

I hope Bibi will win, he has a better view of all the affairs which will benefit Israel. Plus his mind and heart are for Israel. I also hope that he will not give any more land to the Palestinians but rather make efforts to recuperate more land.

I have become quite fond of Mr. Netanyahu since becoming aware of his no-nonsense keep-the-land policy. I don't know who God has selected to lead Israel next, but I can see how Mr. Netanyahu's dedication to the nation of Israel would be as a kindling in the fireplace to those who insist that the country is called Palestine instead of Israel.
