Just one question.....Why are some people writing God as g-d? Either way you have to hit a button. It just seems to take away from the meaning as it really isn't saving a thing.

 

 

United Jerusalem is the capital of the Jewish State of Israel now and forever.

 

 

Before dividing our ancient capital, Jerusalem, start dividing all the other capitals of all the other member countries of the UN, in chronological order,starting with the youngest,the ones with the least history and historical rational and justification as the capital of it's people. Ms. Rice, before suggesting to divide Jerusalem, give a chunk of Washington to the Indians, of Aman to the 70% of Palestinians living in Jordan...etc.

 

 

Jerusalem musat remain united. We waited 2000 years for jerusalem to be one. do not devide this wornderful city.

But any seeming personal victory of the liars and cowards will be short-lived, anyway. One cannot dispossess G-d of that which is His without risking Him returning the favor. Olmert needs to read Psalm 81,"Oh that my people would have harkened unto me, and Israel would have walked in my ways. I should have soon subdued their enemies and turned my hand against their advesaries." This is the way to secure the land of Israel, not by giving it away to the enemy. G-d speficially says in the Torah it has been given to Abraham and his seed and we are not to divide the land. Olmert needs to remember who he is and ultimately who is in control of Israel...God. Pray for the Peace of Jerusalem, may they prosper who love you. I am shocked that he would even think of doing such a thing to his people. Our people need to rise up and with a loud shout say WE WILL NOT DIVIDE OR GIVE UP THE LAND G-D HAS GIVEN TO US AS OUR INHERITANCE!

Mr. Olmert, you have no right ot be the leader of Israel, you seem to have never learned your Jewish history and as such you should not be in a position of power. You do more harm than good. Finally there is a United Jerusalem, thriving and growing. United in Torah ( perhaps something beyond your comprehension. ) with great potential. DON'T THROW IT AWAY, DON'T GIVE IT AWAY. I totally agree with Richard, yes, when did Israel ask to have half of Mecca as the capital of Israel??? Not that anyone would want that place, anyway. As a Protestant Gentile who supports the Jewish people and their heritage, I cannot understand how someone of my limited perspective and historical background can see the error in Mr. Olmert's direction, and at the same time Mr. Olmert cannot. If he doesn't see what is wrong with his position on the unity of Jerusalem and the Jewish state, he needs to be replaced by someone who does. If George Bush suggested giving half of America back to the native Americans, or the Southwest back to the Mexicans, he would be impeached, as should any President who would make such a suggestion.

The U.S. is going to suffer major consequenses for pressuring Israel to give up more land and negotiate with the Palestians. Olmert will suffer as well for ignoring God's covenant. You cannot negotiate with someone who will say anything to get what they want and then renig. I fear what comes next.
