Yeah, he was a great man, that arafat, that's why the europeans being europeans thought he deserved the Nobel 'piece' price. As far as I am concerned my Bible tells me he, far from being honored, is shaking hands with Satan, his master.Honestly, I don't mind, simply because every human being has in his soul the distinction of right and wrong. He chose to do evil, so, he deserved what he got.

When will the people of Israel stand up and demand elections? Will it be after Olmert has caved in to the pressure brought by the US to "negotiate a peace" and render Israel defenseless? He has agreed to sell Israel out to her enemies. As an American conservative, it is maddening to watch the George Bush/Condoleza Rice State Department blatantly sell out Israel in the name of a "peace" which can never be achieved in the policies of weakness and concession. Those of us in the US who truly support Israel are fighting a losing battle in the current political environment. Sadly, Israel can no longer truly rely upon the US to support their very existence. Wake up, Israel, and use the power of the parliamentary government you enjoy. Dissolve the coalition sustaining Olmert...elect Netanyahu before its too late. The wolves are howling at your doors.

The late Mr. Arafat has no entitlement to be buried in Jerusalem. It is an insult to the Jewish people and most importantly to G-d who put HIS name there. HE wouldn't appreciate honoring a man whose sole mission in life was to destroy HIS people.

Arafat was born in Egypt; the closest connection he had with Jerusalem is an uncle lived there. Why doesn't the press start pointing things like this out. A lie oft repeated becomes 'fact' and the Moslems are exceptional in the practice. Next we'll be reading his revised bio in Europe.

Long before the current 2 state solution - there were 2 states - Jordan and Israel. Please read MK Benny Elon's 'peace initiative'. Tell Netanyahu we all want him to support an Israel initiative, not a forced US plan that will harm Israel and kill Israeli's. Get the word out - this is an excellent plan - one that solves the Palestinian refugee problem. Tell everyone - get worldwide support behind this initiative. Thanks.

Yasser Arafat was born and raised in Egypt, trained as an Engineer and later at the Moscow Institute for Propaganda warfare. Much of his identity and background information was invented with the help of the Soviet Union after l964 and l967. Any martyrdom of Arafat must be understood in the context of his body being attacked by a merciless army of Human Immuno Viruses (HIV) and prehaps others which reportedly produced a serious case of AIDS. Recommend you read Red Star Rising, a book written by former Romanian KGB Officer who defected to the West, Ian Pacepa (spelling?), a chapter in which is about Yasser Arafat.

I am very disappointed in your Prime Minister that he has planted the seed in deeper ground against his nation to give your enemies the edge to push to their maximum. I would certainly try to "demonstrate and rally " even harder to have him removed out of office.I find him disgusting and I am not a citizen of your country! Peace at any price is NO peace at all. Apparently he has'nt learned from Israel's past experiences with the enemy.

Jerusalem in its entirety is the capital of Israel. The Temple Mount (Har HaBait)is the place that G-d decided to create Adam, and afterwards the history of the Jewish people continued to seek this site for such spiritual occasions as the akedah. the binding of Isaac by Abraham, the first Jew. No other cultural, ethnic, religious,or national entity has legitimate historical claims to Jerusalem other than the descendants of King David himself, the Jewish people.

United Jerusalem Petition
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, to ensure free and open access for all people.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, as an expression of the unique relationship between the Jewish People and its eternal capital.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, so as never to return to the dark period of 1947-67, when Arab control over an artificially divided Jerusalem meant religious persecution, desecration of holy sites, and wanton destruction.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, according to the current municipal boundaries, set in the wake of Israel’s defensive 1967 Six Day War.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, where Jews may enjoy the right to pray on the Temple Mount, the holiest site in the Jewish world.
Preserve The Temple Mount
  • For a decade, Muslim religious authorities have participated in the destruction and elimination of precious Jewish and Christian artifacts on the site of Solomon's Temple, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
  • Thousands of tons of earth, containing archaeological evidence dating back to the period of the Temple of Solomon, were discarded. Among the 'rubble' were ancient seals from a Priestly family, inscribed pottery fragments in Ancient Hebrew, Altar screens and broken columns from a fourth century Byzantine Church.
  • Since the year 2000, the Muslim religious authority – the Waqf - has blocked all archaeological oversight of the Temple Mount.
  • Meanwhile, the Waqf continues to construct Mosques on the sacred sites of Jews and Christians.
  • We believe the international and Israeli media should have unrestricted access to the Temple Mount.
  • We believe the world-respected Israeli Antiquities Authority be empowered to supervise the day to day activities on the Temple Mount.
  • Currently, the Waqf forbids any non-Muslim entrance, except on a selective and very limited basis. For instance, the Waqf does not give any observers access inside the vast subterranean rooms, from which many antiquities have been removed.
  • We demand the preservation and respect of the Temple Mount. Only full access and complete transparency for all parts of the Temple Mount can prevent further abuse and destruction of this site which has been venerated throughout history.
