Pres. Peres is not one to listen to Jews. Why was he never trusted by the people? He is now more political and more "diplomatic" as President because he gets to do things Olmert can;t and he has no barriers. Olmert has shown himself to be what he is by his behavior- constantly talking through, and around all points when not outright lying. Cannot plead with such people. They have to be removed from power. We need leadership that will defend both Jews and Israel. The present government does neither!

How upsetting! The laser beam shows how close the surrounding Palestinian villages are to West jerusalem. At the most eight kilometers to the most extereme Jewish residential area, surely within range of kassam rockets. The average distance to key spots in West Jerusalem, such as Mt Scopus, Ben Yehuda mall, and the Knesset, from a Palestinian vantage point, such as Mount of Olives or Silwan, seems to be about three kilometers. This video is the most graphic of all that I have seen thus far because it really brings home how very close the surrounding Palestinian villages and East Jerusalem are to the Jewish population in West Jerusalem. How can Israel lose one centimeter of land when the possibility for total annihilation is just between one to two miles? Remember the summer of 2006 and the thousands of missiles bombarding Kiriyat Shemonah, Tzfat, Rosh Hanikra, Haifa, and the forests in the North. Remember Sederot every day...now. Oh G-d! There is not any leeway in making sound decisions about the security and safety of any place in Israel. Jerusalem? Jerusalem is the focal point of Jewish survival in Israel, for it symbolizes more than its geography exhibits: Jewish memory dwells in every stone of Jerusalem; Jewish consciousness resides in Jerusalem's environs for three millennia in the form of dreams, visions, yearnings, and real-live experience. Mr. Olmert, Mr. Peres, Please listen carefully to the will of the Jewish people living in Jerusalem as well as to those living in Israel proper. Their words are very clear and concise: Do not negotiate with those who will never recognize your existence. Do not negotiate away the lives of innocent Jewish men, women, and children with those who are dead bent on totally destroying everything Jewish in Israel, just like they did to Gush Katif and Schechem. Think about your moral commitment to the Jewish people who inhabit your country, the Land of Israel. Think about their right to live in the Holy Land.

Please make these videos with English commentary as they are meaningless to the likes of me in Hebrew. Regards Don.

United Jerusalem Petition
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, to ensure free and open access for all people.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, as an expression of the unique relationship between the Jewish People and its eternal capital.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, so as never to return to the dark period of 1947-67, when Arab control over an artificially divided Jerusalem meant religious persecution, desecration of holy sites, and wanton destruction.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, according to the current municipal boundaries, set in the wake of Israel’s defensive 1967 Six Day War.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, where Jews may enjoy the right to pray on the Temple Mount, the holiest site in the Jewish world.
Preserve The Temple Mount
  • For a decade, Muslim religious authorities have participated in the destruction and elimination of precious Jewish and Christian artifacts on the site of Solomon's Temple, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
  • Thousands of tons of earth, containing archaeological evidence dating back to the period of the Temple of Solomon, were discarded. Among the 'rubble' were ancient seals from a Priestly family, inscribed pottery fragments in Ancient Hebrew, Altar screens and broken columns from a fourth century Byzantine Church.
  • Since the year 2000, the Muslim religious authority – the Waqf - has blocked all archaeological oversight of the Temple Mount.
  • Meanwhile, the Waqf continues to construct Mosques on the sacred sites of Jews and Christians.
  • We believe the international and Israeli media should have unrestricted access to the Temple Mount.
  • We believe the world-respected Israeli Antiquities Authority be empowered to supervise the day to day activities on the Temple Mount.
  • Currently, the Waqf forbids any non-Muslim entrance, except on a selective and very limited basis. For instance, the Waqf does not give any observers access inside the vast subterranean rooms, from which many antiquities have been removed.
  • We demand the preservation and respect of the Temple Mount. Only full access and complete transparency for all parts of the Temple Mount can prevent further abuse and destruction of this site which has been venerated throughout history.
