Please, I invite to every single person who reads this comments to pray for President Bush and for Secretary State Condoleeza Rice that God give to them wisdom and discernment because they are blind, and their thinking is not clear. What they are suggesting about de division of Jerusalem is so wrong!. As Christians we need to pray with whole heart and incesantly for them.

you have a certain number of jews willing to trade anything for what the muslims call peace. wake up every one, the only peace the muslims are offering is the peace of the grave, jewish graves

Nothing is worth dividing Jerusalem for, nothing--not oil, not a false "peace", not a Nobel Peace Prize. Has no one learned YET that giving Israeli land away has never earned peace, but only more danger? And what a slap in the face to the soldiers who fought so hard to unite Jerusalem in 1967. Dr. Rice and Pres. Bush, as professing Christians, you should know better than to go forward with this unthinkable act.

The thought of dividing Jerusalem between Arabs & Jews is just as abserd as dividing Washington, DC with Mexico.

Jerusalem is the eternal capital of the state of Israel and it should not be divided. It's about time the Israeli government said "NO" to the american government.

Ms. Rice hasn't got a single thing to say about any division. Let's prove her wrong and make a lot of noise and positive action. These politicians oviously need to go back to Sunday School and intensely re-read their lessons.

Stupid Americans!! I can say that because I am an American, BUT, I will never understand someone who claims to be a Christian, who "says" they believe in any nation having freedom/democracy, then sells them out. Maybe we should go back to horse and buggy so others won't "own" the U.S. by their dangling oil over us. Boy am I mad. Just remember, Rice is a pawn doing the work of her boss!!.

First, divide Mecca ... We are all descendants of Abraham, so this would only be fair. When there is tolerance, acceptance and respect by "the Muslim Brotherhood" for ALL other people, then there will be peace.

How nice for Rice and Bush to sacrifice Israel for their legacy. Clinton tried it Arafat rejected it and started the 2nd Intifadia and the concessions wrung out of Barak are now the starting point for new negotiations.

I would encourage Secretary State Rice and President Bush to read "EYE TO EYE" Facing the consequences of dividing Israel by William Koenig.Israel needs her capital united and Israel needs to know that we stand to support her,not divide her.

Mr. President and Ms. Rice, Read, Reflect and Pray on Zech 12. You are asking for God's judgment on America!!!!!

God gave Jerusalem and the surrounding land to the Jews forever, Please don't go against God's covenant, God will place more JUDGMENT on the United States.

Miss Rice takes her orders from President Bush, although I'm sure she's delighted with his 'meddling in Israel!!

If the government of the U.S.A. continues to push for the division of Jerusalem, please be aware that there will be more hardship suffered like Katrina - acts of God to be sure!

President Bush says he is a Christian; what kind? since he said that islam is the religion of peace! He does not know the Bible! If he did, he would know this: Zechariah 12, vers 2-3: Behold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of trembling unto all the people round about, when they shall be in the siege both against Judah and against Jerusalem. And in that day will I make Jerusalem a burdensome stone for all people: all that burden themselves with it shall be cut in pieces, though all the people of the earth be gathered together against it. vers 9: And it shall come to pass in that day, that I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem! ***************************************** Amerika: Take care of what you are doing to Israel, it will fall back on yourself!

Just what right do we have to divide Jerusalem? That decision has already been made by God, and His decision was "NO!".

Done. I sent the letter that was previously composed, but with the following words added: xxxx "The words in this letter have so far been diplomatic. The truth on the table is that the U.S. has been pandering to avowed terrorists who openly state that they want the extermination of Israel, and who are even now intensely engaged in eradicating Israeli history all the way from Solomon's Temple to the Holocaust. The monumental failure of the Palestinian Government to effectively oversee anything but the firing of Kassam rockets into Israel - which apparently is their own interpretation of Phase One of the Roadmap - gives the lie to the whole thinking and the whole process currently at hand, wherein the Palestinians are given credibility. Just Stop this stupid charade, and stop pressuring Israel to go along with it. These words are a breach of diplomacy, but that is the only appropriate counter to a serious breach in basic intelligence." I signed my name to it, but not without visions of a gulag. But we only live once.

Dear President Bush, I have heard that Secretary State Condoleeza Rice has suggested that there be a division of Jerusalem between Arabs & Jews...this is an inexcusable mistake on her part or on anybody's part to try to divide Jerusalem...Would she ever think of dividing any other capital into separate divisions...this is an insane decision & no way should Israel's parliament have to make that choice...today or any other day... President Bush, under no circumstances should this request even be considered...DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN...It would be a complete disaster for the State of Israel to have to divide Jerusalem for all of its inhabitants...today or in the future...

United Jerusalem Petition
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, to ensure free and open access for all people.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, as an expression of the unique relationship between the Jewish People and its eternal capital.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, so as never to return to the dark period of 1947-67, when Arab control over an artificially divided Jerusalem meant religious persecution, desecration of holy sites, and wanton destruction.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, according to the current municipal boundaries, set in the wake of Israel’s defensive 1967 Six Day War.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, where Jews may enjoy the right to pray on the Temple Mount, the holiest site in the Jewish world.
Preserve The Temple Mount
  • For a decade, Muslim religious authorities have participated in the destruction and elimination of precious Jewish and Christian artifacts on the site of Solomon's Temple, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
  • Thousands of tons of earth, containing archaeological evidence dating back to the period of the Temple of Solomon, were discarded. Among the 'rubble' were ancient seals from a Priestly family, inscribed pottery fragments in Ancient Hebrew, Altar screens and broken columns from a fourth century Byzantine Church.
  • Since the year 2000, the Muslim religious authority – the Waqf - has blocked all archaeological oversight of the Temple Mount.
  • Meanwhile, the Waqf continues to construct Mosques on the sacred sites of Jews and Christians.
  • We believe the international and Israeli media should have unrestricted access to the Temple Mount.
  • We believe the world-respected Israeli Antiquities Authority be empowered to supervise the day to day activities on the Temple Mount.
  • Currently, the Waqf forbids any non-Muslim entrance, except on a selective and very limited basis. For instance, the Waqf does not give any observers access inside the vast subterranean rooms, from which many antiquities have been removed.
  • We demand the preservation and respect of the Temple Mount. Only full access and complete transparency for all parts of the Temple Mount can prevent further abuse and destruction of this site which has been venerated throughout history.
