Jerusalem is a capital of Israel and can not be divided, just like Washington can not be divided with Mexico. I think the reset of my thought are obvious, and include Texas...

Mr. Marciano deserves kudos for his stance on NOT dividing Jerusalem. Shame on those who are for division. United we stand, Divided we fall is still valid today.

Never, never will Jerusalem be divided... Let the Bush administration know that the Jewish people here and in Israel will not condescend to any plan of division of Jerusalem... And let Secretary Rice also know that meddling in Israel policy is a non-starter...

What a sad state of affairs. As pressure is now being exerted for Israel to give up at least parts of Jerusalem, the whole world and Israel too, has forgotten that only recently we gave away Jewish Gaza and now we have Kassams destroying Sderot, gradually more and more so Ashkelon, and so on. The cowardly withdrawal from southern Lebanon by Israel's present Defense Minister, too, is also now forgotten for having brought in Hizbullah and its great power as evidenced in its success in mutilating the Israeli army. As long as Israel and her citizens fail to see how weakened we are as a consequence of all of these gradual and increasing sacrifices of Israeli territory, Israel will become weaker and weaker and her people increasingly complacent to accept whatever is thrown its way. As for all of Judea and Samaria, any surrender of those Israeli lands will only intensify Israel's increasingly weakened position morally, politically, religiously in the sense of dishonor of Torah and disregard for who we are and the parts of our own Body, and militarily/strategically. The present and increasingly enhanced plague of apathy is literally killing Israel and is a cause for alarm, and "Yes," a clarion call for revivification of Jewish Heritage and Jews' awareness of their own Body. If things continue as they are, the Arabs will take Jerusalem and yet more of Israel. Forget about security--that has already occurred in the name of surrender of Sderot, the beginnings now in Ashkelon and again, so on. Jews most regrettably don't respond until they are in immense peril. Perhaps it will be--though need not be--this way again with Jerusalem. The remant, staggering Western Jerusalem would be abandoned and pummeled by Hamas-Fatah rockets, the Strong presence of Iranian Revolutionary Guard Forces and yes again, so on. Israel has fallen asleep and is now in grave danger. This is being downplayed by successful PA propaganda, George Bush's total and clear lack of understanding of anything Israeli or Middle Eastern at least in that sector and its historical roots, and an international "community"--and Yes I am strongly including Europe--bound together only by its long-standing and ongoing and present anti-Semitism, hushed up and/or blatant. The danger is clear and Present.

I hope for peace also, but giving away land for peace is not the answer. The enemies will have more reasons why to keep attacking Israel until they have all the land back before the birth of Israel. We all need Messiah, and to be saved by the power of the holy ghost. There are churches in Israel and all over that baptize people in the name of Jesus, and in the holy ghost, and people are given more peace from G-d's spirit and power even at times of war.

False speech! Selling Jewish by the pound like Ben Gurion and Rabin he mentioned.

Listen, Jerusalem belongs to the Jewish people, yet its inhabitants are Jews, Christians, Muslims and others. Jerusalem's flag symbolizes the stone wall of a young country pacing itself for peace and the lion, the emblem of the tribe of Judah. It is this paradox of peace concomitant to strength which makes Jerusalem what it is: the courageous bearer of a new era in Jewish history, the capital of a sovereign Israel. MK Marziano's speech touches the heart of the issue: As ben-Gurion, another lion, believed in a united Jerusalem, so must the world accept One Jerusalem under the dominion of the people of Israel, the symbol of strength and courage as the world's stepping stone to a new age of peace.

United Jerusalem Petition
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, to ensure free and open access for all people.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, as an expression of the unique relationship between the Jewish People and its eternal capital.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, so as never to return to the dark period of 1947-67, when Arab control over an artificially divided Jerusalem meant religious persecution, desecration of holy sites, and wanton destruction.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, according to the current municipal boundaries, set in the wake of Israel’s defensive 1967 Six Day War.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, where Jews may enjoy the right to pray on the Temple Mount, the holiest site in the Jewish world.
Preserve The Temple Mount
  • For a decade, Muslim religious authorities have participated in the destruction and elimination of precious Jewish and Christian artifacts on the site of Solomon's Temple, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
  • Thousands of tons of earth, containing archaeological evidence dating back to the period of the Temple of Solomon, were discarded. Among the 'rubble' were ancient seals from a Priestly family, inscribed pottery fragments in Ancient Hebrew, Altar screens and broken columns from a fourth century Byzantine Church.
  • Since the year 2000, the Muslim religious authority – the Waqf - has blocked all archaeological oversight of the Temple Mount.
  • Meanwhile, the Waqf continues to construct Mosques on the sacred sites of Jews and Christians.
  • We believe the international and Israeli media should have unrestricted access to the Temple Mount.
  • We believe the world-respected Israeli Antiquities Authority be empowered to supervise the day to day activities on the Temple Mount.
  • Currently, the Waqf forbids any non-Muslim entrance, except on a selective and very limited basis. For instance, the Waqf does not give any observers access inside the vast subterranean rooms, from which many antiquities have been removed.
  • We demand the preservation and respect of the Temple Mount. Only full access and complete transparency for all parts of the Temple Mount can prevent further abuse and destruction of this site which has been venerated throughout history.
