Recently, one of Israel's leading critics of appeasement told a friend that One Jerusalem is the only organization on the ground in Israel providing an effective platform for opponents of dividing Jerusalem and giving away more of Israel's lands to its enemies.
Thanks to the financial support of thousands of supporters, and to One Jerusalem activists on the ground and on the web, we are making a difference at the most perilous time in the State of Israel's history.
We are making a difference.
A few weeks ago, One Jerusalem was invited to meet with policy makers in the Prime Minister's office and at the White House.
Over 80,000 people have signed our United Jerusalem petition.
Israel's appeasement-press has feels compelled to attack us in public.
I want to share with you some of the facts concerning our activities in Israel. We accomplished this before and after the ill-conceived Annapolis conference.
One Jerusalem distributed 128,000 Gold Ribbons, which Israelis display to demonstrate their committment to keeping Jerusalem united, secure and open.
The Hebrew version of One Jerusalem's powerful video Israel Must Remain United was downloaded more than 62,000 times!
One Jerusalem's radio campaign reached 3,044,223 listeners in Israel.
Internet coverage of One Jerusalem's activities reached 10,500,000 viewers.
One Jerusalem's newspaper advertisements reached over 800,000 readers.
In addition One Jerusalem's Russian language advertising reached 170,000 readers.
One Jerusalem provided transportation and guided tours to thousands of Israelis who had never been to Jerusalem.
We know there is a lot more to be done.
With your help, we will be able to continue to get this important work done.
Although I live some six thousand miles away from Jerusalem, my most fervent prayers will be with those who form a human chain around the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem on Tuesday, January 8. I hope that President Bush will see with his own eyes how committed and with what strong conviction Israelis love Jerusalem and are dedicated to its eternal unity as the capital of Israel.

I second "Trevortni's" suggestion below that gold ribbons be made available in the US -- but they need to have on them a statement in English explaining what they mean, e.g., "Jerusalem, City of Gold -- Don't Divide It! "

Israel is allowing one man, PM Olmert to make decisions with regards to the demands of President Bush and Condi Rice in giving away part of Jerusalem to a pack of terrorists who want nothing less than to destroy Israel. Where is the rest of the Knesset? Why aren't they speaking out? Aren't there any leaders among the dovs who sit back and wait for the Heavins to open up and dissolve the state of Israel? Even in America we have a majority rule and Congress steps in and goes against the President. We need more members of the Knesset to stand up and be counted or Israel will be given away, stone by stone, section by section and city by city. Jerusalem must remain the united, individed capital of the State of Israel and no one person should have the right to destroy this great city. Bush can't even control an Iraqi war that he started and he is giving advice to Israel? I am an American and if I lived in Israel I would tell the President of the U.S. to stay out of Israel's business now and forever.

The American people need to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and stand firm for Israel and take care of the Jewish people, because if we don't we will get the wrath of God, because you are messing with God's people and God's land and God gave Israel to the Jewish people. Israel needs a better political leader who will stand and fight for her and not make her give up her land and not to make her divide Jerusalem!! God bless you all and let's pray for one another and pray for peace and let's support Israel in her time of need. Michele Rose

Gold ribbons to show support for Jerusalem? Is it possible to get those in the U.S.? I would gladly - no, proudly - make an extra donation to get one to put on my car, and I am normally very leery of putting stuff like that on my car.

It is wonderful to read that the One Jerusalem message is far reaching. I hope and pray that the Israeli public will commit to action what the true concerns of Jerusalem mean to Israel's future: a demand that Jerusalem never be divided under any circumstances to satisfy anyone's personal or group agenda. Perhaps Mayor Uri Lupolianski could establish a city-wide referendum whereby Jerusalemites would be able to voice their convictions in a formal, democratic fashion to demonstrate their official backing for an eternally unified Jerusalem. That way, world leaders would not be able to conjecture as to whether the people actually residing in Jerusalem were uncommitted to one Jerusalem as their capital. Such a referendum really should be a nationwide endeavor to ascertain the true, valid Israeli disposition to an undivided, unified Jerusalem as being the undisputed capital of Israel.
