we, Christians in this country strongly support one Jerusalem. We believe that whatever happens to Jerusalem and Israel as a whole will reflect what will happen to the whole world. Jerusalem, the holy city of G-d will by no means can be divided and it will remain Jerusalem forever.

I attended the party, and I am glad it was translated to English since my Hebrew isn't fully formed yet. If Netanyahu really believes what he said here, where was he just 2 years ago, when disengagement loomed? He didn't leave the government until the last minute, when the decision was already known to everyone. I want to see politicians who can talk like Netanyahu - and back it up with timely, effective action.
I wonder whether Bibi is tired of saying things he obviously doesn't have intentions of backing up. He's saying all the right things here, but I DON'T BELIEVE HIM. CAN YOU BLAME ME???

For the children of the Jewish people, for our heritage, for our memory, for our blessing which we received from Hashem, for our own dignity and integrity--Yerushalayim belongs to Israel as its capital, indivisible, united forever. The Jewish blood, the Jewish hopes, the Jewish dreams, the Jewish yearnings, the Jewish history, the Jewish Temples, the Jewish Prophets, the Jewish cemeteries, the Jewish university and colleges, and most of all the Jewish residents of Jerusalem and the Arab-Israeli residents of Jerusalem--for all of this majestic amalgam must Jerusalem stay under Israeli sovereignty. For our own self-respect as Jewish people all over the world, the symbol of the Jewish people Zion, the holiest of cities, the city of David, the city of Solomon, the city we pray to everyday of our lives, the city our ancestors prayed to everyday of their lives, the city Jewish prisoners now in the hands of Hamas, Islamic Jihad and Hezbollah pray to, the place where the Shekhina rests and the Holy of Holies still resides, the city of Yehuda Amichai, S.Y. Agnon, and Aharon Appelfeld, the city whose white stones mirror and resonate with the nigunim sung by millions of Jews for more than 3000 years, the city of G-d's majesty--Yerushalayim, Jerusalem, the city of peace--shall remain the capital of the Israeli people as well as the Jewish people from all four corners of the world below to the heavens above to the infinite spirit within our every soul.
