Bush Bringing Promises Of Advance Weapons To Saudi
[01.12.2008]
While President Bush tried to strong arm Israel into compromising its security and into dividing Jerusalem, he is planning to reward the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a $20 billionweapons deal that includes precision guided missiles.
Why is Bush bringing gifts to the kingdom that continues to export Whabbism all over the world, which is primarily responsible for high oil prices, and is ruled by a reactionary theocracy?
One reason offered is that he wants them on our side in the conflict with Iran. But we don't need to do anything to get them to oppose Iran because Iran is Saudis mortal enemy.
I've been feeling for some time now that Bush hoodwinked we conservative Republicans who voted him into office. I can't believe he has in effect turned his back on Israel while seeming to "glad-hand" her enemies. I, too, am a Netanyahu fan and wish we had someone here in America running for president with his courage, love of country--and kick their butts attributes!

I am American and conservative and I think President Bush is WRONG!!!
I am so glad Israel is standing up for itself. I am a big Netanyahu fan. I only wish we had a presidental candidate like him running. Someone who truly wants what is best for his Country.

It is evident that President Bush does not have a grasp of the interrelationships or lack thereof among the countries in the Middle East. He also is blind to Saudi Arabia's goal to globally disseminate Islamic precepts, practices, and finally sheer goverance. Telling Israeli leaders to capitulate Israeli territory and any part of Jerusalem is not only ethically, strategically, as well as politcally wrong for Israel, America's closest ally in the Middle East; it figures irrationally with the needs of an overwrought American military as well as a diminishing American image in that region of the world. When will the Israeli public act democratically on its outrage to Mr. Olmert's outrageous acquiescence to the American president's dictates? Why doesn't the public demand early elections?
