If Minnesota was be hit by rockets from Canada, what would our government do? Someone needs to ask Bush this question. I find it hard to understand how a government stands by while their women and children are slaughtered in places like Sderot. The only logical answer....God will answer the call. The Islamic people will then know who really rules the roost and it isn't the Olmert government. As an American I pray for the safety of Isreal and her people!!!!

It is time for every Jew , Israeli and Christian to recognize that Hamas, Hizbollah and every other so called jihad movement are there to destroy Israel and every Jew, once they've done that they will destroy Christians because of the Judeo Christian beliefs that are so intrinsically intertwined. In the name of islam, they believe that they need cleanse the land from all that defile it. God will show them that there god is not as great as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The Jews are his promised people and God will not allow them to be wiped out, He will intervene. The sooner the world realises this, the better this world will be. The nation of islam is satanic, cowardly and twisted.

Frankly, whether it's 250 or 250,000 people dead, I expect nothing from Israeli government. Every government, from Rabin to Olmert, has shown that it has no spine at all. They are all so scared to tell the world, "F--- you all" and do what is right. The only politician for whom I still have a bit of respect if Effi Eitam, and even for him only a bit. I guess they'll just sit and issue threats until the whole country is exterminated. How I hope to be wrong.

I too do not understand why Israel does not stop the consistant attacks upon their people. Those who have attacked have proven over and over that they do not wish peace. I would set the political name aside and do what you have to do. I am sure you are in that boat where you are damned if you do and damed if you don't. Maybe by doing something will be the best thing that ever happened. Pray about it. I pray for you daily.

At times I am ashamed to be an American, our goverment should move our embassie to Jerusalem, the capitol of Israel. Also, the muslims would never tolerate Jewish control of Mecca, their holiest site within their country, why must Israel tolerate muslims controling the Temple Mound, the holiest site to the Jew, within the Jewish Nation? What other Nation in the entire World would tolerate missles and shells fired across their bourders against civillian populations? Israel...get rid of your dove nongoverment....the muslim understands only strength....I for one will come to fight with you.....

were to start? every day on posting sites i hear people bewailing the poor palestinians and the way israel is abusing them. when you ask about what they are doing to israel, well it is the same thing. no it isn't. there is a vast amount of difference between terrorism and self defense. i hear jews who bewail what is being done to the poor palestinians. sure they are bombing us but do we have to cut them off and there are 50% children in the gaza. we are barbaric. maybe that is why israel has done nothing. we get it from our own as well as the world. i just want some one in the government who can close their ears to the sound of the world coming unglued and do what has to be done for israel.

My father wrote a 14-page letter to my mother on December 9, 1941 - two days after Pearl Harbor was attacked. The letter is only one of the 91 letters and 34 post cards that my father wrote to my mother, and it includes what he thought about the world situation at that time. I never had a chance to discuss anything with my father because I was only seven years old when he was killed in Okinawa on April 20, 1945. My father, Leon, Aaron Rutberg, was a Chief Pharmacist's Mate in the United States Naval Reserve and was with the 2nd Marine Aircraft Wing when he lost his life at the age of 34. My father compared some people to rats, snakes, and poisonous insects in the letter that he wrote. My father was writing the letter while he was in Iceland and waiting for President Roosevelt to talk on the radio. My father also wrote in his letter that it was too bad that our entry with that fracas (WWII) was confused by political and national differences, events that clouded the real issue that he wanted to believe was the real cause and to bring about the successful fruition of such a cause - it sounds like he was writing about what is happening today. We haven't come very far from where we were in 1941. Israel should be allowed to defend her citizens without being criticized by world opinion and politics.

I can't understand why the U.N and the U.S.don't condemn these actions with stern warnings to the palestinians to take care of this right now and not wait for more deaths. Any other nation that rockets were hitting would have the U.N up in arms and would condemn these actions. but for some reason they are quite. Why??? Also I can't understand Isreals lack of rsponce .

I am an American and I get frustrated with our government. Do they not see the lies that are constantly being told to Israel and us by the Palestinians and Iranians? I hope Israel knows that many Americans stand by her. Israel has been patient long enough.

One must do what is necessary and right to defend the people and integrity of the State of Israel. The consequences of right action though dificult will always be better than cowardly inaction and fearful hesitation.

And who is Bush helping? The Palestinians! With both money and political encouragement. What does it take to get into his thick skull?! jd

When oh when will the Israeli people rise up in outrage to put this spineless Olmert and his ineffectual cronies out of office, and bring back the true warriors and protectors of Israel, such as Netanyahu!?

I resolutely object against your site calling the Arabs dwelling these days in Eretz Israel "palestinians". These squatters must be thrown OUT from our country, the sooner the better. This should've been done 60 years ago, and we wouldn't have had this latent war of attrition going on for decades. They MUST go! To Jordan and to Sinai. Unless this is done, there will never be peace. Just look at the map - who apart of most silly of "Halom-Ahshavniks" can think that a country surrounded by mortal enemies has a chance to survive in these ludicrous, untenable, unreal borders? To hell with "world opinion" - NO country on Earth could and would engage in "piece talks" with Islamo-gangsters, as Israel has done to her great harm. The world loves winners and not wimpers. The greatest respect Israel had earned was directly connected to the victory of 1968, and all 40 years after that midget-politicians have been working on unravelling that great achievement, to undo the fruits of blood and sweat of our soldiers. Shame on them! Shame on political system of our beloved country, which time and again brings to the helm all these corrupt and good-for-nothing thieves and liers. Unless we change the system, we shall be annihilated.

Israel should take over the Gaza Strip permanently. The Palestinians have shown they cannot be trusted. Israel should have surge policy of its own. From whatever territory they are fired upon, that land should be taken away from their enemies.

How much can a tiny country endure? The vast number od rockets and mortars projected into Israel from the Gaza Strip is outlandish. The answer to the question may be found in two unrelated strains: The world puts Israel under a microscope at its every move and even at its every word. As a Jewish state, it has been and continues to be unwelcome in its neighborhood. Two of its greatest enemies are Hamas and Islamic Jihad, both with large representation in Gaza. If Israel were to retaliate in a severe fashion, most of the world governments would condemn such a move. On the other hand, the Israeli government is so weak, corrupt, and inexperienced that is has yet to figure out what other solutions are available. This present Israeli government has been kept busy just staying in power--that is its main concern. It is not only the number of casualties that would cause anyone who loved Israel to be concerned, but it is also the image such hesitation to defend its people under siege and barrage that seems to be in direct contrast with previous Israeli responses to aggression. Israel's image in the Middle East and the world is at stake. Perhaps even Israel's survival, because Iran is definitely assessed Israel's every move. Undoubtedly, Iran's plans will be weighed and gauged in proportion to Israel's responses to aggression in the upcoming months. Can Israel tolerate this constant strain on its citizenry without only limited retaliation? That question will probably be answered in the relatively near future.

  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, to ensure free and open access for all people.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, as an expression of the unique relationship between the Jewish People and its eternal capital.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, so as never to return to the dark period of 1947-67, when Arab control over an artificially divided Jerusalem meant religious persecution, desecration of holy sites, and wanton destruction.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, according to the current municipal boundaries, set in the wake of Israel’s defensive 1967 Six Day War.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, where Jews may enjoy the right to pray on the Temple Mount, the holiest site in the Jewish world.
Preserve The Temple Mount
  • For a decade, Muslim religious authorities have participated in the destruction and elimination of precious Jewish and Christian artifacts on the site of Solomon's Temple, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
  • Thousands of tons of earth, containing archaeological evidence dating back to the period of the Temple of Solomon, were discarded. Among the 'rubble' were ancient seals from a Priestly family, inscribed pottery fragments in Ancient Hebrew, Altar screens and broken columns from a fourth century Byzantine Church.
  • Since the year 2000, the Muslim religious authority – the Waqf - has blocked all archaeological oversight of the Temple Mount.
  • Meanwhile, the Waqf continues to construct Mosques on the sacred sites of Jews and Christians.
  • We believe the international and Israeli media should have unrestricted access to the Temple Mount.
  • We believe the world-respected Israeli Antiquities Authority be empowered to supervise the day to day activities on the Temple Mount.
  • Currently, the Waqf forbids any non-Muslim entrance, except on a selective and very limited basis. For instance, the Waqf does not give any observers access inside the vast subterranean rooms, from which many antiquities have been removed.
  • We demand the preservation and respect of the Temple Mount. Only full access and complete transparency for all parts of the Temple Mount can prevent further abuse and destruction of this site which has been venerated throughout history.
