As an educator and a parent, I am most moved by this video. Rabbi Shimon, I tip my hat to you! What vision! What insight! What compassion! Interestingly, I have recently joined a Chabad synagogue. Personally, I have found such great warmth and love for Torah in every meeting with the rabbi and fellow worshipers. I have already studied in two courses offered through the Chabad system, both of which have proferred great wisdom and profound judgment in the Jewish experience as well as in daily life experiences. In the Chabad teachings, emphasis is placed on ameliorating the human experience through respect for every human being; such an approach to education becomes evident in Principal Waronker's dealings with the children at his junior high school. Oh, I wish the good rabbi would consider aliyah so that he could help improve the image Israel projects in the world in conjunction with the great need to confront the failing public educational system. The rabbi is only thirty-nine; maybe he will hear my plea: Lech L'chah.
