As the May 1st election for Mayor of London draws near the political pundits seem surprised that the Tory challenger, Boris Johnson (MP), continues to maintain a lead over incumbent Ken Livingstone.
Sensing that Johnson may pull off a major upset the Left-wing press has been ignoring the real differences between the candidates, as they try to turn the highly intelligent and quotable Mr. Johnson into a comic-book figure. The media is spending most of its energy on such topics as buses, smoking, and auto traffic while it is largely ignoring the real differences on the more burning issues of a rising crime rate and Mayor Livingstone's record of antisemitism and his love affair with treacherous tyrants.
Livingstone has publicly embraced the likes of Fidel Castro, Venezuela's Chavez, and radical Islamists. In line with these preferences, Livingstone's campaign is employing an advocate of suicide bombings, and he is co-chair of "Muslims4Ken".
This should be of no surprise to anyone familiar with Livingstone's career. In 2004, Livingstone invited to London the radical Muslim cleric Yusuf al_Qaradawi. Livingstone personally gave the red carpet treatment to this proponent of suicide bombings. Livingstone's antisemitism has been on display many times, including when he suggested that the governing body of British Jewry supported fascistic paramilitary groups.
We hope that the people of London will ignore the frivolous issues and concentrate on the huge differences between Livingstone and Boris Johnson. The polls show that Johnson can win but it will require civilzed Londoners to make it their business to vote.
Ken Livingstone is a living disgrace to the fair name of London. By his outrageously biased views and policies about the Jewish people and Israel, and his open support to terror and terrorists, Mayor Livingstone has shamed the high post. He can't be the representative of radical Muslims, supporter and defender of terrorism and also the Mayor of the city of London. It's time he is kicked out, lock, stock and barrel.

What right do I have to say anything about London politics? When it comes to a stance on anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism, I have a say as does every Jew wherever he or she may live. Europe is becoming a much more heterogeneous continent these days. It is incumbent on its citizens to make sure that every citizen be respected and treately equally before the law. Ken Livingstone has proven himself a bigot and a hater for too long now. London is one of the most important cities in Britain; therefore, it should be led by someone who cares about his or her constituents and the image London projects to the rest of Britain, to Europe, and beyond.
Livingstone is NOT I repeat NOT employing this man. The Muslims for Ken group is completely independent of him. The Evening Standard headline was completely misleading and potentially libelous. Do not repeat the libel
