Israel Votes To Exchange Live Terrorist For Dead Soldiers
[06.29.2008]
Today, Israel's Cabinet voted overwhelmingly to exchange an imprisoned terrorist with blood on his hands for two deceased soldiers. Super dove Yossi Beilin criticized the exchange arguing that Israel should not be trading a living terrorist (who has declared he will kill again) for the deceased.
Beilin's ideological counterpart, Caroline Glick, reaches the same conclusion. What do you think? Should Israel be dealing with Hezzbolah?
Olmert is only trying to distract from the charges against him, just the way that Sharon did with Gaza. Hopefully g_d will strike down Olmert for his actions just as Sharon was.

Olmert must go! If he continues in this way, you might as well take the Star of David out of the Israeli Flag. David was warrior and Olmert is a wimp.

It beggars the imagination to know the extent that the Olmert government will go to appease Islamic murderers. Other Israeli governments were loathe to negotiate for living prisoners and he would negotiate for murdered prisoners. He should wake up and realize that only more grief awaits Jews in the Middle East when he appeases his enemies. The "world" has always hated Jews and world opinion is always against these brave people. If Olmert is trying to curry favor with the United States he'd better hurry up and conclude his business with America now because President Obama's crew will make the Bush-Rice axis look like angels. Hard times are coming for Israel and she should prepare for them now.
Though they are dead these two Israeli soldiers still serve if only to remind us of whom we fight and how terrible it would be to lose the Holy Land to the savages who rain down rockets on innocent people.

Equal exchanges only-- dead for dead and live for live, and nothing else!
Better yet, the only deal to made with the IslamoNazis is to accomodate their passion to reach Allah's Disneyland in the sky!

Israel is playing into the hands of terrorists,
Israel must do the utmost to free Israeli Citizens who are alive for alive or dead terrorists, or dead for dead, but NEVER ever living terrorists for dead.
In addition to the moral boost that terrorists would get, it would also encourage further kidnappings.

I'm disgusted by this current regime, they are giving up your rights, and laying down in the face of pure evil. Why do they continue to bargain with the very people who will not recognize their sovereignty. The more you give, the more they will take, and they will not stop until Israel is vanquished. I pray that the Israeli people will stand united under the savior who has protected them for thousands of years

This is so painful. I truly feel for the Regev and Goldwasser families. They certainly want closure. However, it is not to Israel's better interests to return Samir Kuntar to Hizbollah. Not on;y does he have blood on his hands, but he also is a sure bet to murder Israeli citizens again. I fully agree with Caroline and Yossi. Israel should never engage in any exchange with the terrorist group Hizbollah. In addition, I contend that Israel should not negotiate with Hamas, another terrorist group. This present Israeli government has changed the rules of morality and ethics from those that protect Israeli citizens to those who protect corrupt politicians.
