In a desperate attempt to bow to Hamas demands for a cease fire, the Olmert government has reportedly abandoned its position of getting the release of its captured solider Gilad Shalit.
How many hundreds of "militants" have been released from Israeli custody? Three Israeli soldiers still languish in captivity and Olmert doesn't insist they be released. They should be a key bargaining chip in any diplomatic negotiation.
I beg the government of Israel to hold elections very soon. Olmert is incapable of saving Israel from the myriad dangers that surround her.

Is Olmert out of his mind? How could he possibly have a peace agreement with Hamas without demanding and achieving the release of Gilad Shalit? What is Olmert's explanation for such a disgusting, cowardly act? Is he so stupid as to trust Hamas to make any trustworthy agreement with Israel? If Shalit were Olmert's son, would he have been so willing to abandon him to the Hamas murderers? What can he possibly have been thinking? It is a shameful act that should never have been agreed to by Israel!

Prof.Youl Nitzarinsums up mu opinion quite nicely.!!!Replace the present government that would sell Israel out, abandon her soldiers, & cow tow to her enemies, & to a president NO matter WHO< he is) that puts pressure on Israel to give away what is right fully theirs, for another failed, attempt at peace. I agree, a full scale attack is the ONLY, way to deal with terrorists.!! They only respect force, NOT WEAKNESS.!!

Since when does Israel capitulate to the demands of terrorists? No Israeli soldier should ever be abandoned under any circumstances. All of the respectable Jewish morality of previous Israeli administrations is being systematically undermined by this Kadima administration. What kind of ceasefire can one make with terrorists? How can terrorists be believed? Any capitulation to the demds of terrorists is a sign of weakness. Hamas only wants more time to build up its army so that it can create more extensive havoc for Israel. When will Israel finally defend herself and force the kassams, mortars, and ketyushas to stop violating her borders and wounding and murdering her civilians? A full-fledged Israeli ground invasion of the Gaza Strip is the only way to achieve this end; a ceasefire will only provide a cover-up for Hamas to build up its arsenal, which it will certainly employ against Israel at the time of its own choosing. This decrepid, inane government must be replaced in the short term before irrevocable damage is done to more vicitms of Hamas's savagery and barbarism.
