It is great to note that the Israeli government as a democracy is planning to build a city for its Arab citizens. However, one needs to understand the meaning of citizen. A citizen is someone who believes and is committed to his/her country. Over and over again, it appears that the Arab citizens living in Eastern Jerusalem (not all of them) but most of them appear to live in Israel but their commitment is with the Palestinians. It is important to understand that the Israelis that were evicted from their settlements have no one but Israel to look after them whereas the "Arabs" seem to draw sympathy from everyone including the international community. Israel should first ensure that those moved from the settlement are housed before they are bombed by missles from the Arabs. The whole world seem to be against Israel including the leaders of Israel who are fooled into evicting their own flesh and blood without realising what is going on. The Arabs are committed to do whatever they want to get sympathy from everyone including the leaders of Israel whereas every Israeli is looked upon as he/she has no right to live even in their own land. Just remember that at the time of eviction the Israeli President and PM were laughing their heads off, as they set the IDF against Israeli community on the tv and the whole world (other than the Arab world) watched in horror. Where are they now - I mean the two leaders? One is already gone and the other is going going gone! Israel has the right to exist like any other nation in the world and has the right to defend its self against its enemies. It time for the Israel population to elect someone who will take them back to ther roots and values rather than those boot leakers who are so weak that they bow to international pressure!

This is a tragedy. What are the Israelie learders thinking. They keep trying to placate the Arabs and it is not going to work. Their goal is to destroy the Jews. I feel sorry for the those who had to give up their homes in Gaza to appease the Arabs. And, it didn't work all they got was Hamas. I pray for wisdom for the new government to come.

Unbelievable! How can the Israeli government give any consideration to building a new city for Arabs when they have neglected those forced from their homes in Gaza. This is an abomination. Take care of those displaced to pacify the terrorist who now are closer when they send their mortars and missles. God have mercy on those who are still displaced.

Build a nice new city with Arab money across the Jordan river.

When will the peacenicks come back down to earth and face reality. The displaced surely are entitled to prior consideration for the loss of homes due to government chase for nebulous peace with the Arabs.

Arab citizens of Israel as well as Jewish citizens of Israel deserve a chance at life. If Israel is truly a democracy, then its total constituency should be allowed proper housing. Those Jews who were evacuated from Gaza and the West Bank should have been provided proper lodging at the time of the evacuation: Israel is a Jewish state; therefore, its Jewish citizens should absolutely be appropriated their needs when they have been taken out of their homes in consequence of a governmental resolution. In order to enhance the relations between Jews and Arabs in Israel, the government should take steps necessary for the integration, accommodation, and amelioration of the lives of its total constituency. A true democracy represents its entire population: of the people, by the people, and for the people. When the idea of peace genuinely pervades the people of Israel, every citizen--Jew, Muslim, Christian, Bahai, Circassian--will live in peace in the Land.

United Jerusalem Petition
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, to ensure free and open access for all people.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, as an expression of the unique relationship between the Jewish People and its eternal capital.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, so as never to return to the dark period of 1947-67, when Arab control over an artificially divided Jerusalem meant religious persecution, desecration of holy sites, and wanton destruction.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, according to the current municipal boundaries, set in the wake of Israel’s defensive 1967 Six Day War.
  • I support a unified Jerusalem under Israeli sovereignty, where Jews may enjoy the right to pray on the Temple Mount, the holiest site in the Jewish world.
Preserve The Temple Mount
  • For a decade, Muslim religious authorities have participated in the destruction and elimination of precious Jewish and Christian artifacts on the site of Solomon's Temple, the Temple Mount in Jerusalem.
  • Thousands of tons of earth, containing archaeological evidence dating back to the period of the Temple of Solomon, were discarded. Among the 'rubble' were ancient seals from a Priestly family, inscribed pottery fragments in Ancient Hebrew, Altar screens and broken columns from a fourth century Byzantine Church.
  • Since the year 2000, the Muslim religious authority – the Waqf - has blocked all archaeological oversight of the Temple Mount.
  • Meanwhile, the Waqf continues to construct Mosques on the sacred sites of Jews and Christians.
  • We believe the international and Israeli media should have unrestricted access to the Temple Mount.
  • We believe the world-respected Israeli Antiquities Authority be empowered to supervise the day to day activities on the Temple Mount.
  • Currently, the Waqf forbids any non-Muslim entrance, except on a selective and very limited basis. For instance, the Waqf does not give any observers access inside the vast subterranean rooms, from which many antiquities have been removed.
  • We demand the preservation and respect of the Temple Mount. Only full access and complete transparency for all parts of the Temple Mount can prevent further abuse and destruction of this site which has been venerated throughout history.
