Here's what Obama told CNN's Fareed Zakaria on Sunday, July 13:
OBAMA: You know, the truth is that this was an example where we had some poor phrasing in the speech. And we immediately tried to correct the interpretation that was given. The point we were simply making was, is that we don't want barbed wire running through Jerusalem, similar to the way it was prior to the '67 war, that it is possible for us to create a Jerusalem that is cohesive and coherent.
Obama's campaign issued a similar "clarification" a day after he gave a speech calling for a united Jerusalem, a speech delivered to a pro-Israel crowd at the AIPAC convention. "Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided," is what Obama called for at AIPAC.
As Senator Obama goes off to Israel next week we hope he educates himself somewhat with the history of Jerusalem and will discover that for the sake of the entire free world the city of Jerusalem must truly remain united and undivided.
"Trying to get people talking"!!! Are you serious? You can't talk with people whose main ambition in life is to kill you. Has history taught us nothing? Hitler had good buddies among the Arabs during WW2. Let's go back even further.Do you think the Crusades were about the poor little 'ol Muslims being attacked by the mean Europeans? The Muslims invaded Jerusalem, invaded Europe for pete's sake! THEY were the aggressors, and they have always been that way. Who were the first pirates that a new born America had to contend with? The Barbary pirates, Muslims. Doesn't it say in Genesis that Ishmael "will be a wild man, and his hand will be against his brother and his brother's hand will be against him"? When have you ever seen a peaceful Mid East? They can't get along with each other, let alone Israel.

At least he's trying to get people talking, taking an interest. i don't see Mc Cain doing this. Just talks war. War today could be Nuclear. "ther'll be no one to save, w/ the world in a grave." Blessed are the Peacemakers, they shall be called the Children of God. Israel has maintained that desire for years, it holds back Armageddon. God bless the PeaceKeepers.
