Dear Prof. Nitzarim, the WHOLE world is in the same boat as Israel. We need to see this reality. Muslims want to see the whold world under Sharia law. In Georgia recently, a Muslim man strangled his daughter for "dishonoring" the family by wanting to divorce her husband. He is can't understand what all the fuss is about. He's only doing what a proper Muslim man should do. And England is considering the recognition of Sharia law. Do you not see that we are ALL in danger? No one could dissuade Hitler from his mission of the total destruction of Jews. No one can "talk" with Ahmadinjad either. He doesn't even believe the Holocaust even happened! I heard him say so with his own lips, on American tv. Take the rose colored glasses off, Professor!

 

 

Obama is an Arab threat to the U.S. for Israel for the world

 

 

If Obama is elected president, watch out Christians and Jews. Did God always spare the children when Israel entered into battles in the Old Testament, NO! I do not wish to see children harmed but we are not the ones who are using them as a shield. To get at the evil it may take a few extra lives. I feel for them but those are the tragedies of war.

 

 

Obama spoke from ignorance of jihadists. They didn't lack empathy. The rejected it in the cause against their perceived enemy. They enlisted into the militant mental conditioning to eliminate all sense of empathy toward any member of their declared enemy. It is evident that Obama was only a little more empathetic as as the jihadists. They were educated men attacking the empire affecting their lives while Obama was merely pursuing political campaign strategy based on inner-city dynamics. Hopefully, he has learned something about global politics and the dedication of many Arabs to jihad and other fundamental principles of Islam.

 

 

Obama has so much Arab blood which dates back to Ishmael that he does not recognize that this has been a lack of leadership on the part of the musleum arabs for centuries--he is just perpetuating the problem

 

 

His comments reflect the ever more common mistake of wanting to sit back while we try to "understand" how someone could do such evil in the hopes that we can then meet with them and negotiate. Only after a thorough psycho-analysis will we understand how to speak with them and convince them that they should love everyone and allow every person to peacefully coexist. History teaches us that this, however blissful and wonderful it sounds, is not possible. As for the children of the world needing our attention, I wholeheartedly agree. However, we must also realize that it is not the place of America to pay for the short-comings of the rest of the world. No other country in the world helps and cares for children and others more than the U.S. but we are also the first to be blamed when anything goes less than perfect. Why? Because the world realizes that America's leadership is turning her into a paper tiger. The world need only raise its voice and show images of suffering and poverty to make our politicians and citizens feel guilty for our own God-given blessings and successes...then we gladly hand out more aid which too many times falls into ungrateful and even America-hating hands. Our nation has been blessed by the one true God and it is because our nation was founded on His principles that we, as a nation, feel the need to help those who are less fortunate. When are we going to demand the same from the leadership of the countries whose very people we are helping? Evil will never be "understood" except to understand that it can only be stopped by ending its existence. Yes, care for the children. Let us not forget the troubles that our armed forces go through (unlike any other in the world) each day to insure that when that missle is fired even the debris from the explosion is directed away from civilian habitations. We do all we can to preserve innocent lives while the terrorists literally hide behind them - but who is ridiculed when an innocent dies? The very ones who are trying to help. There has to be a line drawn in the sands of emotion in order to complete the task at hand. One final note on "the children" for those who are so quick to play the role of the all-caring peace seeker for "the sake of the children." I will be blantantly honest for a moment - although it truly hurts my heart. War is horrible and it should be a last resort for anyone. Innocent lives will be lost in a war - period. We cannot sit idly by and allow evil to spread for the sake of the innocent children whose lives may be lost in the conflict. I believe when a child dies he/she is in the arms of our loving God in the next moment. Sadly, this may be the only way many of the children of Islam ever make it to God's arms. If allowed to continue to be raised in hate - their destiny is far from God. Am I saying kill the children? No. I am saying we must do what must be done and we must not allow ourselves to sit on our hands while thousands more innocent lives are lost "for the sake of the children." America is the most loving nation on Earth, and rest assured that we will always go well beyond what is expected to protect the lives of innocents of any age. Always. With one hard but necessary understanding: We will do all we can for those who cannot, but we will do what we must for those we protect.

 

 

Of course it’s normal to love and protect innocent kids, but… These kids (of our enemies descent) will grow some day and become what their parents are. Think about it…

On this one I agree with Mr. Obama. As a teacher by profession, I have always said that the children across the world need our attention. To group them with their parents is unfair, for they hold the future, not their parents. In my class this summer, I have students from many different ethnic backgrounds, some from countries other than the United States. Should I only teach those who are like me? The answer is an emphatic no! The poverty, ignorance, abandonment, helplessness, and despair that is rife throughout the world needs to be addressed, confronted and coped with. Indifference is not an option. War is a last resort. Of course, self-protection must be at the forefront of every person's options as in the case of Israel, in particular. It is extremely difficult for many Americans to comprehend Israel's existential predicament. Even with the peace Israel shares with Egypt and Jordan, Israel is surrounded by millions of neighboring peoples who would do anything to cause her demise.I hope that Mr. Obama, Mr. Hagel, and Mr. Reed learn this harsh lesson during their upcoming fact-finding trip to Israel and Ramallah next week.
